The China Business Law Journal has awarded the China Business Law Award 2020 to our international Private Wealth group in the category "Family Wealth Management".
The China Business Law Awards are among the most prestigious awards in the country for Chinese and international law firms. The award is based primarily on nominations from Chinese C-level executives, in-house counsel and lawyers, among others.
Taylor Wessing's international Private Wealth team consists of more than 70 experienced lawyers who provide legal and tax advice to family businesses, high net worth individuals and foundations in their cross-border activities. The international team is led by Nick Warr (London) and Martin Kraus (Germany). In China, Rachel Yao, Taylor Wessing Shanghai and member of the China Group of Taylor Wessing, is the main representative of the Private Wealth Group.
"The award for our Private Wealth Group is a well-deserved recognition of the excellent international cooperation across many borders and legal areas. I am very pleased that our competence offensive in the Chinese market, which we have been pursuing for years, has now had such a lasting impact in this area," commented Michael-Florian Ranft, Head of Taylor Wessing's international China Group.
The China Group is one of the legal pioneers in China business and has been successfully advising European companies on their business activities in China as well as Chinese companies investing and expanding in Europe and Asia for over two decades.
