Taylor Wessing advises Global Savings Group on the acquisition of iGraal

The Global Savings Group (GSG) has acquired iGraal, the French market leader in the cashback sector and a company of M6 Digital Services, subsidiary of the media house Métropole Télévision (M6). The transaction, with a volume of over 100 million euros, will make GSG the largest digital platform for savings, cashback and shopping content in Europe. Taylor Wessing has provided legal advice to GSG regarding the financing of the acquisition, led by Frankfurt partner Clemens Niedner.

Part of the acquisition costs will be financed by a loan granted by UniCredit Bank AG and paid in cash. The remaining amount will be covered by shares in the company, as a result of which M6 Digital Services is now a shareholder of GSG.

GSG, headquartered in Munich, is a PubTech platform for commerce content, which uses technology to help publishers and media houses realize revenue potential by making digital assets such as savings, cashback, e-coupons and shopping content available to consumers while enabling advertisers to reach relevant users in over 20 markets.
