Corporate technology partner Josef Fuss has been recognised as one of The Lawyer's Hot 100 for 2020.
The Hot 100 celebrates talent from across the legal industry and gathers together exceptional individuals, renowned for their expertise, who have gone above and beyond.
Josef has been recognised for his expertise in healthtech, fintech and traveltech. Judges and referees commented: "He was the lead partner on Babylon Health’s $550m investment in what was the largest-ever fundraising in the European and US digital health sector, as well as CMR Surgical’s deal to boost investment opportunities for the medical device company."
Commenting on this recent accolade, Josef Fuss said: "Our clients' expectations extend to us being more than just lawyers – we need to understand every aspect of their businesses to add more value. My experience of advising investors, founders and companies, while also recognising the challenges organisations in the technology, life sciences and digital health sectors, enables me to give better advice that supports our clients' commercial goals. The calibre of talent recognised each year is always very high and so, it's an honour to be named in this year's collective."
Managing Partner, Shane Gleghorn, commented: "Josef is passionate about being involved in tech and life sciences deals and this is reflected in his reputation and the relationships he has with clients. This acknowledgement is well-deserved given his hard work and successes throughout his career. It's fantastic that our talent continues to be acknowledged in this way, once again showcasing the quality of our people and the value of Josef's sector-led expertise."
Josef was promoted to the firm's partnership in 2016 and is in good company with many of the firm's lawyers who are now Hot 100 alumni. This includes Graham Hann, ranked in 2019, and Emma Danks and Emma Jordan who were recognised in 2018.
