As a global firm with offices based in many multicultural cities across the world, we know how important it is to understand and respect each other's cultures.

As part of this work and in celebration of Black History Month, we will be sharing the stories, experiences, and inspirations of our UK colleagues this month. We will also be hearing about the Black women who have impacted and inspired our people throughout their lives, in recognition of this year's Black History Month theme, "Saluting Our Sisters".


Naomi Henderson

Naomi joined the firm in March 2021, as part of our Business Development, Marketing and Communications team. She is an active member of our Cultural Diversity Network and Social Mobility, and also supports our Sustainability equaliTW and Arts networks. Naomi shares initiatives close to her heart and recommendations to learn more about Black culture.

 

Rob Fowler

Head of talent acquisition strategy, Rob Fowler, is a proud supporter of Black History Month and a mentor to Black heritage talent.  Rob shares his personal experiences and advice for Black professionals entering the legal profession. As a mentor, Rob understands the importance of representation and is committed to helping Black talent thrive.

 

Tandeep Minhas

Tandeep is head of our corporate finance and equity capital markets team. She also co-chairs the firm's Cultural Diversity Network and sits on the firm's Inclusion Board. Tandeep shares what celebrating Black History Month means to her and salutes the Black women who have inspired her.

 

Char Erskine

Char leads on the firm's Inclusion programme alongside the Inclusion Board and shares what celebrating Black History Month means to them, and how they want to make progress for Black heritage talent in the legal sector. They also share tips on how everyone can learn more about Black British history.

 

Janelle Bicar McFarlane 

Janelle joined the firm's Business Development, Marketing and Communications team through the 10,000 Black Interns programme earlier this year and has secured herself a long-term position with the team. Find out about the impact the internship had on her and why celebrating Black History Month is important to her.

 

Keadeish Morrison

Keadeish joined the firm through the 10,000 Black Interns programme earlier this year and has since become a permanent member of the IT Services Team. Hear more about the impact of mentoring on his career journey so far, and why Black History Month is important to him.
