Thinking differently

Blurred Lines: in our predictions for 2021 we suggested that "Bleisure" would be on the rise with even more blurring of the lines between work, home and leisure. Hyatt have taken the bull by the horns and this week have announced a long stay option (minimum 29 nights) for those travellers who want to combine work and leisure. "The Great Relocate" is available at 125 Hyatt hotels across Europe, the Middle East and South Asia and enables you to work by the pool, take lunch breaks on the beach and explore a new city in the evening. Other than giving ourselves a pat on the back for a great 2021 prediction, we wonder how popular this option will be in a years' time? In our view, this will have longer term appeal and expect other hotel chains to follow Hyatt's lead into this hybrid model, especially with hotels looking to use space efficiently and generate revenue wherever possible in this COVID-19 world.
