"What happens next in the Hospitality sector?" is a question on many people's minds. In particular, how are lenders and borrowers in the sector going to deal with unsustainable debts as we tentatively emerge from lockdown and, in a number of countries, flip flop in and out of lockdown. Restructuring specialist Amy Patterson joined the Hospitality team to look at this issue (you can watch the video here).
In other news, after some inconsistent remarks from the WHO about the health benefits of wearing masks, they are increasingly being seen as part of the global answer to slowing/preventing the spread and reopening the economy. Marriott, Hilton and Hyatt have all announced that wearing masks in Hotel public spaces in the US and Canada is now compulsory. Why only these countries? And whilst many might feel safer with these measures, how Hotels deliver an enjoyable experience to guests will be a challenge.
