We look at the application of the NIS Regulations and Directive after Brexit and at a European Court of Human Rights decision on covert use of CCTV to detect employee theft.
The UK government has published new legislation and guidelines to help EU and UK Digital Service Providers deal with compliance under the NIS Directive and the UK NIS Regulations after Brexit.
The Grand Chamber of the European Court of Human Rights has held that use of covert CCTV to uncover theft by employees did not infringe the Article 8 right to privacy although the claimants may still have remedies under data protection law.
