Artificial intelligence is and remains the hot topic in the tech world. The first rules of the EU I Act will apply as early as February 2025. However, for companies that use or develop AI tools, there are still a lot of legal and practical questions:
What is the relationship between the AI Act and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)? Does the principle of data minimisation cease to apply when AI is fed with large amounts of data? And do companies have to expect fines from several supervisory authorities in the future?
In the new episode of Tech & Law TV, Thomas Fuchs answers these questions. Hamburg's Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information recently caused a stir with his ‘Hamburg Theses’ on Large Language Models. Tech & Law TV is led by Dr. Axel Freiherr von dem Bussche, Taylor Wessing’s data protection expert.
