With effect from 1 July 2026, Taylor Wessing Germany is promoting two female lawyers and one male lawyer from its own pool of young legal talent to the position of salary partners.
With these appointments from within its own ranks, the firm is underlining its consistent commitment to the further development of its talent. For these high-potential lawyers, this new career stage marks their entry into the firm’s own training programme. Through this individual support, closely supervised by mentors, the firm not only introduces its promising young talent to legal practice at the highest level but also secures their long-term commitment – a continuity of staff that is a key factor for success in the ‘war for talent’.
Every six months – on 1 January and 1 July of each year – an internal firm committee decides on the prospective Salary Partners.

Evaluation process to promote professional development
Taylor Wessing has an in-house evaluation programme (“EVA”) designed to specifically promote the professional development of its lawyers. It is aimed at senior associates from their fourth year of practice onwards and supports them in developing and implementing their personal market positioning. Particular emphasis is placed on strengthening entrepreneurial thinking and encouraging early engagement with one’s own business development.
As part of EVA, participants work together with the firm on a bespoke “business case” and are supported on their career path through regular feedback. Two mentors are on hand to support the lawyers in their further development. This individual support is deliberately embedded within the firm’s strategic development. From the sixth year of their career onwards, EVA opens up the opportunity to be appointed as a salary partner.
