Taylor Wessing Czech Republic has once again been commended by The Legal 500, the prestigious rating agency that annually ranks top-rated law firms around the world.

This year once again, the Intellectual Property team led by Karin Pomaizlová, which focuses on filing, prosecuting, and enforcing trademark rights, as well as on licensing, unfair competition and domain name disputes, received the prestigious recognition. Clients are typically businesses from the advertising, luxury goods, tobacco and beverage, pharmaceutical, education, IT and software industries. Taylor Wessing Czech Republic also has the ability to use its global network to advise on cross-border transactions.
Karin Pomaizlová, partner at the firm and team leader with experience in all areas of IP and TMT, was recognised for the seventh year in a row in the "Leading Individuals" category, again for the Intellectual Property sector.
The Corporate & M&A team at Taylor Wessing Czech Republic, which regularly advises clients on cross-border transactions and complex M&A matters, was also highly rated. With extensive experience in legal counseling, the team assists clients in all phases of the corporate life cycle. Clients include companies across all sectors and the team is particularly experienced in serving tech businesses, as well as those in the traditional manufacturing and pharmaceutical sectors. In addition, the corporate team also provides regulatory advice to Czech public listed companies. The team is led by Janka Brezániová, who specialises in providing legal services in transactional practice, focusing primarily on M&A and corporate and employment law advice.
Markéta Deimelová, a partner of the firm and a European lawyer based in Austria and the Czech Republic with many years of experience advising national and international clients on corporate, contract and competition law, is also doing an excellent job in the Commercial sector and in EU & Competition law according to the latest rating.
The EU, Competition and Antitrust team at Taylor Wessing Czech Republic is well-positioned to handle cartel investigations and merger control proceedings, advising also on cooperation and distribution agreements, unfair practices and state aid. Its clientele includes names both domestic and international from a wide range of sectors seeking support in aspects of competition, EU, and trade law as well as public procurement.
Also recommended by the prestigious agency is the Real Estate & Construction team advising on commercial real estate matters ranging from project finance and development to construction and leasing. The Real Estate & Construction team works closely across the Taylor Wessing network to help clients with cross-border mandates. The team is headed by Jakub Adam, who has many years of experience in transactional advisory services and specialization in matters of real estate and its financing and is regularly involved in advising on construction and property development matters.
