DeepL SE, a leading language AI company, has today announced USD$300 million of investment at a USD$2 billion valuation fuelled by global demand for AI language solutions. Led by Index Ventures, the heavily oversubscribed round attracted strong support from new investors, who will bring their extensive expertise, connections, and resources to support DeepL’s growth and long-term vision to transform the way companies communicate around the world.
Additional late-stage investment firms, including ICONIQ Growth, Teachers’ Venture Growth, and others, participated, along with existing investors IVP, Atomico, and WiL. Our team was led by Berlin partner Dr. Norman Röchert and advised DeepL on all aspects of the investment. We have been advising DeepL for several years, including the 2023 financing round led by IVP.
