Advising Gravity Sketch on its $33 million Series A funding round

3D creation and collaboration start-up Gravity Sketch has successfully completed its $33 million Series A financing, heralding a new era for collaborative design workflows.

The $33 million funding round was led by Accel, with participation from GV (formerly known as Google Ventures), Point Nine, Kindred Capital VC, Forward Partners and various angel investors including Toby Fadell and Will Smith. We advised on the deal in collaboration with US law firm Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati.

Gravity Sketch is transforming the way designers can visualise product design, utilising VR headsets for teams to conceptualise design in an entirely 3D environment. The London-based start-up recently passed 100,000 users and counts Adidas, Reebok, Volkswagen and Ford amongst its client base.

The funding will be used to develop the company's technology, such as its LandingPad collaboration features for non-designer users to collaborate on product designs, as well as scaling the business' sakes, customer service and onboarding for clients.

Commenting on the deal, Ian Moore, corporate technology partner, said: "Gravity Sketch is revolutionising the way product design can be conceptualised in its early stages, and the company has a bright future ahead with its latest round of investment. We're excited to see how Gravity Sketch develops its product with the dawn of the metaverse and beyond to best serve its fast-growing customer base."

The team was led by partner Ian Moore with support from Fiona Morgan, Pip Moss, Harry Ruffell and Liz Wilson.
