Judith Krens ranks among Managing Intellectual Property's Top 250 Women in IP

Judith Krens has ranked in Managing Intellectual Property's latest Top 250 Women in IP 2020 list. The annual list is compiled following an extensive research process and peer recommendations, and includes the world's leading women who have delivered exceptional performances for their clients. 

Judith is head of our Life Sciences and Healthcare group in the Netherlands and Belgium, and specialises in international patent litigation. She has broad experience in intellectual property, trade mark, copyright, and IT law. 

Judith, who previously worked in the US, has in-depth knowledge of cross-border pharmaceutical and biotech patent litigation. She also frequently handles cases in applied fields such as mechanics and electronics. Among her many work highlights over the last year, Judith advised Pfizer and Fresenius Kabi in patent litigation relating to biotechnological medicines.

Judith's ranking in Managing Intellectual Property's Top 250 Women in IP follows on from her recognition as one of its Patent Stars in 2019. In addition, she ranked in the IAM Patent 1000 in 2019 and 2020, was listed as a recommended lawyer in the field of intellectual property and patents by the Legal 500, and received the Who's Who Legal 2019 award for leading individual in the field of patents.

Judith Krens, partner bij Taylor Wessing, staat in de Top 250 Women in IP 2020 lijst van Managing Intellectual Property (MIP). De jaarlijkse lijst wordt samengesteld na een uitgebreid onderzoeksproces en aanbevelingen van vakgenoten en bevat de meest toonaangevende vrouwen wereldwijd, die die een uitzonderlijke prestatie hebben geleverd voor hun cliënten. 

Judith Krens staat aan het hoofd van onze sectorgroep life sciences in Nederland en België en is gespecialiseerd in internationale octrooiprocedures. Ze heeft daarnaast ruime ervaring met andere rechtsgebieden in het intellectueel eigendomsrecht, waaronder het reclamerecht, merkenrecht, auteursrecht en regulatory -recht. 

Judith, voorheen onder meer werkzaam in de US, heeft diepgaande kennis van grensoverschrijdende procedures op het gebied van medische hulpmiddelen, geneesmiddelen en biotechnologie, maar voelt zich ook thuis op andere technische vlakken zoals mechanica en elektronica. Afgelopen jaar heeft zij onder meer Pfizer en Fresenius Kabi bijgestaan in octrooiprocedures met betrekking tot biotechnologische geneesmiddelen.  

Judith werd eerder al bekroond door MIP met een Patent Star in 2019. Daarnaast is ze te vinden in de IAM Patent 1000 ranglijst in 2019 en 2020, de Legal 500 als ‘recommended lawyer’ op het gebied van Intellectueel Eigendom en octrooien en is ze bekroond met een Who’s Who Legal 2019 award als leading individual op het gebied van octrooien.
