Overview of legislative changes relevant to the employers

Last week, the National Council of the Slovak Republic approved an amendment to the Labour Code and other employment-related regulations, which gives employers more flexibility when dealing with their negative economic situation caused by the coronavirus pandemic, subject to the protection of employees' rights. Alongside these legislative changes, our overview also refers to a draft proposal of the state's job retention scheme. Negotiations on the specific conditions under which this scheme would apply are still ongoing and their final version should be presented in the following days.
