We're delighted to announce the appointment of Henry Priestley as a new partner in our London IP practice. Henry joins us from a leading law firm, where he has been a highly regarded partner specialising in disputes and has over 15 years of litigation and dispute management experience, having previously been a partner at another international law firm.
Henry's practice spans contentious and non-contentious IP work, with soft IP, copyright and trademarks, at our core, advising brand owners, retailers and major commercial clients. He has built a reputation not only as an experienced IP disputes partner but as a trusted business advisor, with deep involvement in the strategic and transactional affairs of his clients, including significant acquisitions and the establishment of new commercial ventures.
Henry's appointment marks the next strategic step in our vision to create an unrivalled IP powerhouse, strengthening the firm's capabilities in IP disputes, brands and retail, and deepening relationships with one of our most significant clients.
Shane Gleghorn, UK Managing Partner, commented: "We are delighted to welcome Henry to the firm. Henry brings strong expertise in IP disputes, copyright and trademarks, and a depth of experience advising major brands and retailers that is truly impressive. His arrival alongside Jeremy Drew reflects our commitment to building a best-in-class IP team and maximising our capabilities."
Graham Hann, Head of IP, Regulatory and Digital practice, said: "I am thrilled to welcome Henry to the team. Henry's soft IP specialism, his record across both contentious and non-contentious work, and his trusted advisor role across some genuinely complex and significant commercial matters will be hugely valuable additions to our practice. We are excited to see what we can achieve together."
Henry Priestley added: "I am delighted to be joining Taylor Wessing alongside Jeremy Drew. The firm's market-leading IP practice, its strength across brands, retail, technology and corporate, and its international platform provide an outstanding foundation for the work we want to do for our clients. I look forward to working with my new colleagues and contributing to Taylor Wessing's ambitious growth plans."
This appointment comes as we continue to strengthen our IP practice as part of the strategy to create an unrivalled IP powerhouse, having recently hired Jeremy Drew.
