The international Energy & Infrastructure team has again secured an excellent ranking in this year's Clean Energy Legal League Tables.
By number of deals completed in 2021, the Taylor Wessing team ranked fourth globally in the category "Top 20 Legal Advisers by Number of M&A Deals". The firm was thus able to maintain its excellent result of the previous year and confirm its position among the leading international law firms in the clean energy sector.
In 2021, Taylor Wessing advised on almost 80 renewable energy and cleantech deals and projects, totalling more than 5.5 gigawatts. Aggregated deal volume advised during this period puts the firm in the top 20 globally.
Taylor Wessing has an impressive record within just a few years; while total M&A transactions advised on in 2018 ranked the firm among the top 20 law firms internationally, the Taylor Wessing team has now taken a top position for the second year in a row in 2022.
"Our international renewable energy work counts us among the global leaders in this field. We are delighted that this is once again confirmed by the Clean Energy League Tables," says Carsten Bartholl, Head of the International Industry Group Energy & Infrastructure at Taylor Wessing. "The sector faces many challenges and opportunities in the global transition to renewable energy sources, which we're committed to helping our clients navigate," Bartholl continues.
