Advising Certn on the acquisition of Credence

British Columbia based background screening solutions company Certn has acquired Credence, with advice on the purchase provided by our corporate technology team.

This acquisition is the latest in a series of deals for our Canada Desk where we have acted for Canadian clients looking to grow their market presence in the UK and Europe by acquisition.

Corporate technology partner Philip Shepherd led on the transaction. He said: "It was a pleasure to work with Andrew and the Certn team on this exciting acquisition for the company. We look forward to seeing the combined organisation continue to grow and wish the Certn and Credence teams every success."

Certn CEO Andrew McLeod said: "Our mission at Certn has always been to deliver the most frictionless service, without compromising on the ability to provide a reliable and comprehensive offering.

"This acquisition will grow the speed and experience we can provide. Phil and the team provided fantastic support on this key acquisition for us. They understand the technology ecosystem, and what we want to achieve, smoothing the legal path to ensure we can achieve this."

Our team working on this deal was led by corporate technology partner Philip Shepherd with support from Nell Cooper, Alex Walton, Ruth Moffett, Graham Samuel Gibbon, Pip Moss, Ann Casey, Marianna Vlas and Emma Oakley.
