We have advised Cambridge Innovation Capital, Amadeus Capital Partners, Parkwalk and the University of Cambridge on their participation in the $20m fundraise by innovative quantum computing company Riverlane. The investment was made as part of a round led by Draper Esprit.
Riverlane's software transforms quantum computers from experimental technology into commercial products. The company raised the funds to build Deltaflow, the operating system for quantum computers.
Commenting on the deal, Corporate Technology Partner Ross McNaughton, said: "This deal will allow Riverlane to continue to develop its operating software and transform the way cutting edge quantum technology is commercialised. This deal underlines our strong position in the Cambridge market, working with companies and investors in the deeptech space. We look forward to watching Riverlane go from strength to strength."
Steve Brierley, Founder and CEO of Riverlane, said: "For a quantum ecosystem to thrive, we urgently need an operating system. An operating system makes quantum computers useful – it allows programs and applications to run on many different machines. Riverlane aims to make our operating system Deltaflow a global standard."
The team was led by partner Ross McNaughton and associate Alex Dodds.
