Advising Montagu-backed Wireless Logic on acquisition of Arkessa

We have advised global leading IoT connectivity platform provider Wireless Logic, backed by Montagu Private Equity, on its acquisition of Arkessa from ECI and individual sellers.

The acquisition further cements Wireless Logic's position as a market-leader in the IoT connectivity space, with the acquisition bringing a customer base of one million subscriptions, complementary services and alternative routes to market.

Wireless Logic develops customised IoT connectivity solutions across multiple mobile networks and technologies, providing connectivity, control and security.

Arkessa is a leading machine-to-machine (M2M) managed services provider, delivering connectivity services and solutions. Its M2M connectivity enables IoT-devices to connect regardless of geography, network operator or wireless technology.

Richard Miller, Group CFO for Wireless Logic, said: "This was a significant acquisition for Wireless Logic and we're looking forward to starting work with the talented team at Arkessa. Taylor Wessing provided top-tier commercial and insightful advice, and we were extremely pleased with their support throughout this process."

Head of Private Equity Emma Danks said: "The rapidly evolving M2M and IoT connectivity market is a focus for PE and M&A activity in the current deal-doing environment, and a key area for Taylor Wessing given our sector strengths. It was a pleasure to work with the team at Wireless Logic and Montagu, and we look forward to watching Wireless Logic go from strength-to-strength in the future."
