We're Legal Business' Legal Technology Team of the Year

We've been crowned the "standout choice" and winner of Legal Technology Team of the Year at the Legal Business Awards 2020

The firm now has a clean sweep of legal industry honours after taking home the Innovation through Tech award at the British Legal Awards, and Most Innovative Use of Technology at The Lawyer Awards, in 2019.

Legal Business' Legal Technology Team of the Year award recognises the law firm, in-house team or chamber which has secured the most significant competitive advantage for their business and clients through innovation.

Focusing on TW:Detect, our flagship cybersecurity tool developed in partnership with Pervade Software and in response to a series of high-profile malware attacks affecting numerous companies, judges praised the firm for the product's concept and execution: "Not only did Taylor Wessing identify the problem, but the firm went from concept to launch in under six weeks."

John Davies, Director of Pervade Software, told Legal Business: "Taylor Wessing has helped us develop our product by looking at innovative applications for us and new ways it can help their clients. Their lawyers are widely known for their expertise in technology and in the sector so, for us, it was a no-brainer that they should be the first law firm that we collaborate with."

Mark Barron, corporate technology partner and head of clients and innovation, said: "We have one of the best innovation setups in the industry, which will keep us ahead of the pack in developing effective, client-focused legal tech solutions such as TW:Detect. As one of the UK and Europe's pre-eminent firms for advising technology clients and on technology-related matters, we put innovation at the heart of what we do, and this recognition reflects that."
