Taylor Wessing attracts second new international partner this month

International law firm Taylor Wessing has announced the appointment of Adrian Toutoungi as a partner* in its patents team.

Adrian will join the firm's Cambridge office from Eversheds Sutherland. He is a leading figure in the life sciences and technology, media and communications sectors.

Adrian specialises in non-contentious IP supporting clients who need transactional, licensing, commercial contracts and regulatory advice. He is also very experienced in complex patent litigation and IP licensing disputes.

He has worked with many of the world's largest pharmaceutical, biotech and semiconductor clients on confidential information, database rights, trade marks, software copyright and designs issues. Adrian also advises new start-ups on financing, development and R&D collaborations.

Welcoming Adrian to the firm, Partner Niri Shan said: "Technology and life sciences are two of the world's most competitive sectors. We're seeing more high value transactions but as regulation increases, so does the risk for investors. Our clients are seeing more advantages than ever before in protecting and defending rights to their intellectual property at an early stage. Adrian is among the best lawyers for helping companies with cutting edge technologies achieve success and competitive advantage. He couldn't be a better fit for us and we look forward to working with him."

Managing Partner Shane Gleghorn said: “Adrian is renowned in the industry. His expertise, combined with that of our existing teams, enhances our offering to leading life sciences and healthcare organisations around the world and tech companies looking to launch the latest innovations."
