Impact of COVID-19 on the international real estate finance market

Our international Real Estate Finance colleagues presented their first webinar for International Real Estate week, focusing on the Real Estate Finance markets around Europe, and how COVID-19 has impacted the lender and borrower markets. They discussed the impact the lockdowns have had on the international REF market, the approach lenders have taken during this difficult time, how the governmental support varied across jurisdictions and the issues that may have arisen as a result of that support and it coming to an end. Our presenters also looked to the future to assess what the big issues might be for lenders and borrowers over the next 12 months.
