The EHRC has produced new Guidance on sexual harassment and harassment at work. The guidance defines sexual harassment, sets out the responsibilities of the employer and how it should prevent and respond to sexual harassment. It also sets out guidance on other types of harassment based on protected characteristics. It recognises that dealing with a complaint of harassment may not be the end of the matter and has a section at the end of the guidance on "further steps after the process has ended" which sets out what steps the employer might take where the complaint has been upheld/not upheld in relation to both the alleged harasser and person making the allegation.
