With the regulation of AI-driven products high on the political agenda, we look at the approach of EU and UK law to regulating use of facial recognition technology and biometrics, both in terms of the EU's draft AI Act, and the UK's sector-focused approach. We also look at new ICO guidance on worker monitoring, ICO draft biometric guidance, and at the approach of the Spanish DPA to regulating biometrics, and we consider issues around using FRT in retail spaces.
