Taylor Wessing strengthens its equity partnership with Dr Carolin Monsees and Dr Michael Beer as of 1 May 2026. The 39-year-old lawyer based in Hamburg and the 41-year-old lawyer from Munich were appointed to equity partnership by a large majority at this year's partners' meeting. Both have advanced through the firm’s internal evaluation process, EVA’, from associate to senior associate and subsequently to salary partner and have now been appointed as equity partners.
Dr Caroline Monsees is a recognised expert in AI, IT, data protection and technology law. Based at our Hamburg office, she and her team advise and represent clients on pioneering digitalisation projects at the intersection of technology, AI and data. Her particular focus is on data-driven initiatives in the HealthTech and Life Sciences sectors, especially regarding the use of artificial intelligence and forward-looking data utilisation. Her outstanding expertise, coupled with an excellent track record in large-scale projects, makes her one of the leading experts in forward-looking digitalisation strategies in the European market.
Dr Michael Beer is a specialist in employment law and, together with his team based in Munich, advises medium-sized companies as well as large international corporations, and state and church organisations on all aspects of individual and collective employment law. A particular focus of his work is advising employers on necessary transformation processes, particularly in strategic and operational dealings with works councils, as well as in negotiations and the implementation of works agreements and restructuring measures. He also possesses particular expertise in all aspects of remote working. Dr Michael Beer also regularly advises on topics such as mobile working, assignments abroad and the further development of traditional working time systems, as well as on all relevant issues relating to flexible staffing.
