We're proud to be the key supporter of Access Pride 2025 - an accessible, inclusive and community-rooted Pride celebration taking place on Saturday 26 July from 11am-5pm at The Brink in Liverpool City Centre.
Access Pride is at the heart of a bold reimagining of Liverpool Pride for 2025 - led by Sahir in response to calls from local LGBTQ+ communities to ‘save’ the city’s Pride and create something more inclusive, representative, and rooted in genuine community connection.
The event offers a welcoming and celebratory space for disabled and neurodivergent LGBTQ+ people, sober individuals, families, and anyone seeking a non-scene, dry, and calm environment during Liverpool’s wider Pride festivities. Access Pride champions visibility, safety, and joy - ensuring everyone can take part in Pride in a way that feels right for them.
Head to Sahir’s Eventbrite page, or check out @sahirhouse on social media for full event details and booking info.
Ant Hopkinson (he/him), CEO of Sahir, said:
“Access Pride 2025 is a powerful reflection of what happens when we listen and respond to community voices. People told us what they needed from Pride and we’ve stepped up to help make it happen. Taylor Wessing’s generous support helps us create something meaningful, inclusive and joyful - something everyone can truly belong to.”
With Taylor Wessing’s backing, Access Pride will feature a day of live performances, creative workshops, community activities in a relaxed and supportive setting. Hosted at The Brink, a dry and accessible city-centre venue, the event will include a range of adjustments to ensure inclusion, including a BSL interpreter and pre-event guides with floorplans, staff introductions, and a clear itinerary.
Robin Panrucker (he/him), Head of Talent Development & Inclusion at Taylor Wessing, said:
“We’re proud to support Access Pride 2025 and Sahir’s wider work in reimagining Pride in Liverpool this year. Inclusion, authenticity and community leadership are at the heart of this event - and that aligns strongly with our values at Taylor Wessing. We’re honoured to play a part in making this vision a reality.”
Kat Taylor (they/she), LGBTQ+ Engagement Lead at Sahir, added:
“Access Pride was created with care, intention and collaboration. It’s a celebration, but it’s also about visibility - making sure that everyone, especially those who often feel pushed to the margins, knows that Pride is for them too.”
Access Pride is one of several events Sahir will deliver as part of this summer’s city-wide Pride season – with more announcements to come in the weeks ahead.
As part of our Pride events in Liverpool, we will also be hosting our own internal pride event in our office with a guest speaker Dr Emily Garside, and will be joined by a representative from Sahir to continue our fundraising activities for this great charity.
On the day of Liverpool's Pride, we will be attending Access Pride where our Head of Talent Development and Inclusion (and one of our co-chairs of our LGBTQ+ network "equaliTW") , Robin Panrucker, will be welcoming the audience before handing over to the artists and performers to get the party started!
We will also be proudly marching with the rest of the Liverpool LGBTQ+ community ensuring we are visibly and actively showing our solidarity and true corporate support to such an important cause and supporting our LGBTQ+ siblings.
