We have advised global advisory and advocacy communications consultancy, APCO Worldwide, on the acquisition of Camarco, a London-based firm specialising in financial communications.
Camarco advises a range of clients, including multi-national, European, FTSE 100, FTSE 250, and other listed and non-listed companies across sectors such as financial services, sustainability, energy and resources and consumer industries. With this acquisition, Camarco's team will be able to tap into APCO’s global reach and deep expertise in corporate advisory and advocacy, while strengthening the group's investor relations and financial communications capabilities.
APCO plans to leverage its global team to expand Camarco’s presence to other leading financial centres around the world. Together, APCO and Camarco aim to deliver end-to-end advisory and advocacy services for global clients and provide support throughout the lifecycle of corporate transactions, from inception through regulatory approvals and from change management to integration.
Commenting on the acquisition, corporate partner at international law firm Taylor Wessing Jonny Bethell said: "It's been great to work with an industry leader like APCO and support on this exciting deal. It's always great to see two complementary businesses come together and we're excited to see the growth and development of the combined group."
APCO Worldwide CEO, Brad Staples, added: "Camarco has a proven track record of helping clients—companies in the FTSE 100, FTSE 250, multi-national, European-listed and private companies—navigate complex stakeholder issues, risks and opportunities and execute business strategies that boost valuation. Supported by a team of experts with decades of experience and established influential networks, Camarco provides a disciplined approach to execute and deliver at the highest level."
