We are Legal Cheek's Best Law Firm for Tech 2020

Taylor Wessing has won the Best Law Firm for Tech Award at The Legal Cheek Awards 2020.

The Legal Cheek Awards are a measure of success in the recruitment and development of the next generation of the legal profession. Voted for by the future lawyers themselves, the awards are a recognition of the expertise and dedication of the winning firm and this particular award ranks Taylor Wessing as the most technologically advanced law firm in the UK.

The award follows an impressive sweep of A*s in the Legal Cheek Trainee and Junior Lawyer Survey 2019-20. Surveying over 2,000 trainees and junior associates at the country’s 80 leading corporate law firms, the survey gives a clear indication of the quality of professional life for junior lawyers.

Commenting on the win, graduate recruitment partner Anna Humphrey, said: "I am thrilled to see Taylor Wessing named as best tech firm in the country, by the future lawyers themselves.  Our outstanding tech credentials as a firm speak for themselves and it is great that our trainees recognise and feel part of our innovative, tech-driven culture."

Matthew Royle, graduate recruitment partner, added: "This is a great recognition of our tech expertise and flexibility. Technology is a hot topic, now more than ever and maintaining an excellent quality of professional life is key to us.  We make that possible with our strong remote working systems, which our tech team has ensured are robust and allow us to meet new challenges head on and in a connected way."

The virtual ceremony took place on 26 March 2020 was held remotely and gathered two-hundred guests, with live chat tools, virtual cocktail networking and group video.

Legal Cheek was founded in 2011 by Alex Aldridge, formerly a journalist for The Guardian and Legal Week. It has grown to become a leading news source for junior lawyers and law student in the UK.
