Matt specialises in data protection, privacy and cybersecurity law, advising organisations across a variety of sectors including technology, life sciences, advertising, financial services, insurance and retail on all aspects of data protection strategy and compliance.
Matt regularly advises clients on international data projects and focusses on providing clear, practical advice and supporting clients in the co-ordination of key legal and business stakeholders (often across multiple jurisdictions).
Matt has experience undertaking data protection audits and implementing compliance programmes, advising on marketing and targeted advertising strategies, carrying out comprehensive data protection impact assessments, providing clients with in-house training and presenting seminars, and drafting complex intra group data transfer agreements. Matt has also advised global organisations on the implementation of Binding Corporate Rules.
Matt worked on secondment at a FTSE 100 financial services software provider as Senior Legal Counsel (Data Protection), providing pragmatic advice and support to the business on a wide range of data protection matters.
