Marco is head of the Competition, EU & Trade Practice Group at Taylor Wessing and a member of our European competition law team that operates from our Brussels office. He has more than 25 years of experience as a trusted advisor and problem solver in all areas of German and European antitrust law and is recognised in Who's Who Legal as one of the Thought Leaders Germany. In JUVE, Marco has been described as an "experienced partner (with) broad expertise" who is "pragmatic and commercially minded", "likeable and highly competent" and has "in-depth knowledge of our field of law".
His practice ranges from advice on investigations by the antitrust authorities - antitrust fine and abuse proceedings, sector inquiries – and on complex merger control proceedings through to competition law advice on co-operations, in particular at the interfaces to IP rights (R&D, technology transfer) and distribution. One of his other main areas of practice is representing clients in antitrust civil litigation, including antitrust damages proceedings. At the same time, Marco’s additional qualification in economics brings a deep-rooted understanding of the interaction between competition rules, technical and regulatory regulations governing the functioning of markets and the commercial needs of clients. He is not only actively involved in the life sciences and healthcare sectors, but also advises clients in the technology, automotive/mobility and aerospace/defence sectors.
