It is refreshing to see British fashion retailer Ted Baker defying the recent trend of high profile CVAs and store closures in the retail sector (as reported last week) after it recently reported further revenue growth. It puts this growth down to the strength of its business model and its relatively low number of own stores. This is a timely reminder that it is not all doom and gloom on the high street. By combining a strong brand with a flexible business model, retailers can still succeed in what is currently viewed as a challenging market.
