Alexander is an Associate and Chartered Trade Mark Attorney in our IP & Media team. He specialises in brand protection, including, the clearance, filing, prosecution and enforcement of trade marks in the United Kingdom and Internationally.
Alexander has worked with some of the world's most recognisable brands, in particular within retail, food and beverage, sport, automotive and medical sectors. This experience ranges from the enforcement of large international portfolios to the prosecution of unconventional trade marks. Alexander has considerable experience in protecting shape trade marks as well as collating evidence of acquired distinctiveness.
During his career he has also advised on both obtaining and challenging Collective and Certification marks. In addition, Alexander has a particular interest in Armorial Bearings (Heraldry) as well as Scottish Tartans.
