Malte Zessin is a member of the Practice Area Technology, Media & Telecommunications (TMT). He mainly advises IT and media companies on data protection, copyright, competition and IT law as well as other technology law issues.

Malte gives advice on all legal issues relating to e-commerce including product launches, rollouts and the implementation of standards. In the area of competition law, Malte advises in particular on advertising campaigns and customer-related communication. Malte's expertise also includes legal advice in the area of data protection law. In this respect he advises on the implementation of and compliance with the GDPR. Malte also specialises in health-related data protection issues, such as clinical trials, and e-health.
