Taylor Wessing has been shortlisted for the Regional Legal Adviser of the Year category at the Private Equity Awards 2019.
This award recognises the overall achievement of private equity transactional lawyers in 2018, reflecting success in creating value for clients through outstanding execution, commercial awareness and ability to deliver creative solutions to problems, as well as the overall evolution of team and strategy.
With one of the largest private equity teams in the City, Taylor Wessing is a prominent force in the market for mid-market leveraged UK and cross-border transactions. The team acts for a large number of private equity sponsors, investee companies, management teams and debt providers. Over the past 12 months, the team advised on 30 deals with a combined value in excess of £2.5bn. This included Caledonia Investments acquiring a majority stake in Deep Sea Electronics, the sale of Augentius Group to the Astorg-backed SGG Group, and Rutland Partners' sale of Pizza Hut Restaurants UK to its existing management team.
