From next year, pension schemes will have to begin connecting to the dashboards ecosystem. The dashboards will be an important tool for members to help them take control of their retirement planning, but providing information in this way, and potentially on a much larger scale than ever before, will bring new challenges for trustees.
As is often the case, new compliance obligations can create additional compliance risks and trustees will need to address privacy and data security requirements as large volumes of personal data are processed.
There will be work to be done to ensure trustee compliance, as well as additional risks trustees will want to manage – and comparatively little time in which to get ready.
