Marc André Gimmy – Partner

Marc André Gimmy specializes in Labour Law, particularly in co-determination, shop constitution and Collective Bargaining Law. He advises national and international companies on the implementation of reorganizations concerning personnel as well as on structuring group of companies considering co-determination aspects. His clients are telecommunication, mechanical engineering, chemical an paper industry companies. He advises Spanish companies in Germany and German companies and banks in Spain. Ultimately, he disposes of his special knowledge in Internet Contract Law.

Marc André began his studies of Law at the University of Konstanz in 1984. He passed the First Legal State Exam in Konstanz in 1990 and the Second State Exam in Stuttgart in 1993. He was admitted to the Bar in Duesseldorf in that same year and was approved as a Specialized Lawyer in Labour Law in 1997. Marc André Gimmy worked for a medium sized law firm and for Andersen Legal in the Labor Law Department from 1993 until 1999. He joined Noerr Stiefenhofer Lutz as a partner in 1999 and became Head of the Labour Law Department in its Duesseldorf office. He joined Wessing in Duesseldorf as a partner in 2002.

Marc André is a member of the Practice Group Labour Law of the German Lawyers’ Association and a member of the board of the German-Spanish Lawyers’ Association.

Marc André is the author of numerous articles and he is a guest speaker at numerous seminars.
