Dr. Cornelius Weitbrecht – Partner

Cornelius Weitbrecht is specialized in corporate matters and acquisitions. In his long-standing corporate practice he advised on numerous corporate restructuring matters including joint ventures with an international emphasis. In addition, he has provided legal advice on M&A transactions, financing and reorganisations. His broad range of clients includes companies from the healthcare, technology and media industries. He specializes in advising medical centres, large surgeries and hospitals as well as their shareholders, including transactions in this field.

Cornelius Weitbrecht studied law at the universities of Erlangen and Munich and spent one year in the United States. He worked as an assistant in the faculty of labour, commercial and trade law of the Munich Ludwig-Maximilians-University and earned his doctorate in association with Professor Götz Hueck with a thesis on a corporate law topic. He passed the second state exam in 1987.

Cornelius Weitbrecht has co-authored several publications dealing with corporate law, including the Münchener Handbuch des Gesellschaftsrechts published by Beck Verlag. Aside from his professional commitments he enjoys playing golf.
