The Guardian Ditigal Innovation Awards 2012
Taylor Wessing sponsored the 2012 MEGAs, the Guardian awards for digital innovation. Taylor Wessing Technology partner, Graham Hann was part of the judging panel. We sponsored the award for Best Startup Business.
Intellectual Property
On 31 January 2012 the Taylor Wessing Tech Focus team hosted an evening at The Trampery in Shoreditch. The event focussed on intellectual property and its importance to investment and growth in technology businesses, with speakers, including entrepreneus and venture capitalists.
City Meets Tech
Taylor Wessing hosted and sponsored City Meets Tech on December 1st. City Meets Tech is an initiative to get the City of London banking community to invest in technology start-ups. The event focussed on the City with a limited number of entrepreneurs present.
MeetUp
Taylor Wessing and Intel co-sponsored a special MiniBar event on November 25th. Mini Bar hosted this event with Mother and Gateway2Investment (g2i) who provided workshops on how to raise investment.
Entrepreneurs Festival
The Taylor Wessing Tech Focus team took part in the business boot camp and mentoring sessions throughout the Festival. Held from November 14-19, the Entrepreneurs Festival brought together more than 300 of the best and brightest entrepreneurs from across Europe.
Setting up a company and funding

Silicon Valley comes to the UK
Taylor Wessing were delighted to sponsore the 2011 Silicon Valley comes to the UK (SVC2UK) programme. SVC2UK was a series of events that brought together leading investors, iconic serial entrepreneurs, ambitious students and successful angels from the UK with leading Silicon Valley serial entrepreneurs and investors to discuss, debate, create and fund today's most disruptive internet and green technologies that will change our world in the years to come.
