Taylor Wessing is delighted announce the growth of its Financial Institutions and Markets Group with the appointment as Partner of Jonathan Rogers, former Senior Associate at Lovells.

Jonathan is a financial services regulatory specialist, with considerable experience advising major banks, insurance companies, wealth managers, funds and other FS sector institutions. As well as broad based regulatory expertise, he brings special capability in the insurance and FS outsourcing areas.

Jonathan will be working alongside Clive Cunningham, who leads the Financial Services practice within the Financial Institutions and Markets Group, on regulatory matters and a variety of commercial transactions and projects.

Clive Cunningham comments:

"With seismic events in the financial sector, Jonathan brings top class added capability in this strategically important area at just the right time. We are very pleased to have him on board. This appointment is testimony to the quality of our existing Financial Institutions and Markets practice; and our commitment to develop it further."

Jonathan Rogers comments:

"I am delighted to join Taylor Wessing and look forward to contributing to an already growing practice by further expanding its FS regulatory offering to clients. Regulation of the financial markets is currently front-page news. A strong and specialist FS practice is essential to assisting clients in the short term, but also to helping them adapt to the inevitable changes we will see in market regulation over the mid to long term."

Jonathan joined Taylor Wessing on 6 October.
