Remedies in Procurements - the new Regime

On 20 December 2009 a new regime for remedies in procurements came into force. These are the Public Contracts (Amendment) Regulations 2009, which revise the current 2006 Regulations. The new rules are designed to give greater remedies to ensure that contracts ultimately go to the company which has made the best offer and provide more remedies to aggrieved bidders if they believe contracts to have been awarded in breach of procurement rules.
