Quirin Vergho is specialised in insurance and real estate laws, including related litigations and corporate law affaires. He is a member of the Brazil Group. In insurance law his main practice area is to act for companies and insurers with respect to the settlement of disputes, especially in the area of occupational disablement, D&O and industrial property insurance. He also advises on regulatory insurance laws and the development of insurance products. His services in the real estate practice include the advising in and the development of real property purchases and commercial leases as well as devising and issuing prospectuses for real estate funds. Furthermore Quirin Vergho has a wide experience regarding the monitoring of transactions from the insurance and real estate laws perspective.
Quirin Vergho studied in Regensburg, Madrid, Lisbon and Munich. He gained first practical experience in Brussels and Mexico City inter alia. In 2003 and 2005 he passed his legal state exams in Regensburg and Munich. From 2003 to 2008 he worked as a scientific assistant and as a PhD student at the Max Planck Institute for Social Law and Social Policy. The main subject of his doctoral thesis is constitutional and social law. Quirin Vergho was admitted to the bar in 2008. In 2010 he successfully passed the training as a specialist lawyer for insurance law.
Quirin Vergho has published a number of articles also with respect to Portuguese law in professional journals, is a co-author of the legal guide for the real estate practice, published by Vahlen Verlag, and regularly gives presentations on insurance law.
