Public law disputes

We have considerable expertise in challenging the lawfulness of decisions made by public bodies such as government departments, local authorities and regulatory bodies in a wide variety of sectors by way of judicial review.

Judicial review is essentially only available once all alternative remedies (such as the public bodies' internal appeal procedures) have been exhausted and there are very strict time limits for making such applications.  It is imperative therefore that the applicant is in a position to make its review application quickly.  Our experience, coupled with our proactive approach of becoming involved before at an early stage and certainly before any internal appeal procedures have been concluded, has proved extremely beneficial, providing our clients with a distinct advantage when preparing for and representing them in any subsequent formal judicial review application.
