The Global Intellectual Property Index - Results
We are delighted to announce the results of the second Taylor Wessing Global Intellectual Property (IP) Index.
The second Global IP Index, which follows on from the inaugural report published in May 2008, presents a comprehensive statistical comparison of IP protection and enforcement in 24 of the world's leading economies, rating each jurisdiction for protection and enforcing patents, trade marks and copyrights.

Niri Shan nominated for Partner of the Year
Taylor Wessing has been shortlisted for three awards by the judging panel for The Lawyer Awards 2009.
Niri Shanmuganathan, head of Taylor Wessing's Trade Mark, Copyright and Media Group, has been shortlisted for the prestigious Partner of the Year Award, while the firm's private client and pro bono teams have both been nominated in their categories.
The Lawyer Awards, now in its fifteenth year, remains the benchmark for excellence within the legal profession across private practice, the public sector, commerce and industry, and the Bar. The judging panel is made up of leading figures from within City institutions and the media. The combination of this and The Lawyer's own research has made these Awards the most comprehensive and incisive reflection of the commercial legal market.
The winners will be announced at the Awards ceremony on Tuesday, 23 June 2009 at The Grosvenor House Hotel, London.

Taylor Wessing named UK Contentious IP Firm of the Year
We are pleased to announce that Taylor Wessing was named UK Contentious IP Firm of the Year at the Managing Intellectual Property Global Awards 2009 in London last night.
This follows on closely from Taylor Wessing being named European Life Science IP Firm of the Year at the Managing Intellectual Property Awards 2008 and Technology Media and Telecoms Team of the Year at the Lawyer Awards 2008.

The Taylor Wessing 5th Annual Brands Forum
Taylor Wessing recently hosted its 5th Annual Brands Forum at its offices in London.
With over 100 in-house counsel from major corporations attending, it has now become a key event in the industry calendar.
This year's programme included:
