Outsourcing
Our outsourcing group provides a multi-disciplinary, cross-jurisdictional and multi-skilled team of specialist lawyers from various departments across the Firm, providing a one-stop shop for customers and suppliers for IT, BPO and other outsourcing transactions. The group spans our corporate, banking, information technology, employment, property, finance and projects, intellectual property and tax groups.
Members of our team have acted on some of the largest outsourcings in the private sector in recent years, including the outsourcing of cheque and cash processing facilities by several of the main UK high street banks, and the outsourcing of various business functions of a major European airline.
Taylor Wessing's strength in the IT and finance sectors means we have a particular expertise in large-scale IT outsourcing projects, outsourcing regulatory requirements (including the Financial Services Authority material outsourcing requirements) as well as negotiating detailed service level agreements in a range of business sectors.
As we are positioned in four of the key jurisdictions across Europe (Belgium, France, Germany and the UK) and have close working relationships with lawyers throughout the rest of Europe, we can deal comfortably with pan-European outsourcing. We have extensive experience of acting for businesses in the UK and Europe in domestic outsourcing, as well as offshoring to Asia (in particular India), Eastern Europe and elsewhere.
