Our Brazil Group has been created to support and enhance the increasing needs of Brazil-based businesses and private wealth investing outside Brazil and to facilitate the continued expansion of investment in Brazil by overseas companies. The Brazil Group is particularly focused on the flow of business between Brazil, Europe, China and India.
Our Brazil Group is led by Jan Curschmann (Honorary Consul of Brazil) and João C. L. Motta, a Brazilian lawyer who, prior worked at a Brazilian law firm focused in Corporate Law. All members of the Brazil Group are widely experienced in advising clients from around the world on doing business on an international basis. Several of them speak Portuguese fluently and are native speakers with professional qualifications in Brazilian law.
We provide advice, directly or through our network, on all issues from establishing operations in Brazil, Europe, India, China, the Middle East and beyond, acquiring businesses or establishing joint-ventures in those jurisdictions, raising international finance (whether by way of listings of shares or raising private equity and bank financing) and successfully resolving any complex and high value disputes.
