Taylor Wessing LLP has advised Max Property Group, the new quoted vehicle of Nick Leslau and Mike Brown, on the £232 million acquisition of the Industrious portfolio from the Receivers of the Dunedin Group.

Max Property Group is a Jersey based investment vehicle set up by real estate entrepreneur, Nick Leslau, in May 2009 to realise market opportunities arising from the economic downturn. The acquisition is the first transaction of its kind and scale since the economic downturn began, and the largest deal with new debt so far this year.

The Taylor Wessing team advising on the deal included members from across the Firm's real estate, finance, corporate, tax, IP, employment and litigation groups.

Real estate partner, Richard Grosse, who led the Taylor Wessing team, says:

"We are delighted to have acted for Max Property Group in its first acquisition since its flotation, and to be able to field such a strong and wide ranging team for this major client."

Nick Leslau, Chairman of Max Property Group, says:

'"This was perhaps the most challenging purchase we have ever been involved with. Receivership sales are never without complications and this was even tougher than most. Taylor Wessing were outstanding in all areas and delivered the exceptional level of service and professionalism we have come to expect from them."

Clifford Chance acted for the Receivers, Ernst and Young. The funders, EuroHypo AG, were advised by Olswang.
