Taylor Wessing secures historic West End letting
Taylor Wessing has acted for leading developer, London & Regional Properties ("L&R") on securing Knight Frank LLP as a tenant for L&R's Flagship redevelopment of the former Marks & Spencer's Headquarters in Baker Street, London W1.
Knight Frank has exchanged contracts with L&R to take part of the half million-foot office development at its new Central London Headquarters. L&R expects to complete the building by the end of 2007.
L&R has succeeded in enticing Knight Frank from its historic Hanover Square location.
Taylor Wessing Partner, Keith Barnett acted for L&R. Knight Frank was represented by Sophie Hamilton of Forsters.
L&R Development Director, Geoffrey Springer commented, "This is the second major letting that we have achieved in this building following BDO Stoy Hayward's acquisition of similar sized premises, earlier this year. Taylor Wessing have been instrumental in driving this process and in securing two of the biggest lettings to have been achieved in the West End during the last five years".
Keith Barnett commented, "We have enjoyed a long standing relationship with L&R – particularly on Central London developments. This is one of the most significant schemes to be undertaken by any developer in the West End and it is very exciting to be part of it".
