Taylor Wessing's Private Equity Group advises on £51.5m Rutland acquisition
Taylor Wessing's Private Equity Group has advised Rutland Partners LLP, the UK private equity partnership, on its acquisition of Pulse Home Products Limited from Alba Plc for £51.5 million.
Pulse Home Products is a leading provider of branded goods in the UK home products market with a portfolio that includes the Breville, Nicky Clarke, JCB, Bush, Dirt Devil, Hinari and Power Devil brands.
Rutland is investing approximately £25 million from its second fund, Rutland Fund II, to support the acquisition, with the balance of the funding coming from debt facilities provided by CIT Capital Finance (UK) Limited.
This latest transaction follows on from Rutland's acquisition in July of Attends Healthcare Holdings Limited from 3i Group Plc for $128 million, on which Taylor Wessing's Private Equity Group also advised.
The Taylor Wessing team advising Rutland on the acquisition of Pulse comprised Corporate Partners Tim Eyles, Nick Hazell and Mark Davis, assisted by Dan Beckett and Jon Blackburn, Finance Partner Martin Yells, assisted by Emily McGee and IP Partner Jason Rawkins alongside IP associate, David Brooks (IP).
