Taylor Wessing's Private Client and Capital Markets teams shortlisted for Financial News Legal Awards 2008

Taylor Wessing has been nominated in two categories at the 2008 Financial News Legal Awards; Private Client Team of the Year and Equities Team of the Year.

Taylor Wessing's Private Client practice has seen rapid expansion in the past two years, with revenues increasing by 36% and a team of 25 lawyers advising on tax, trust, succession, matrimonial, residential and agricultural property matters.

The Capital Markets practice was nominated as Equities Team of the Year for its work on £1.03bn of UK equity capital markets transactions in 2007, which saw the team jump up the league tables to rank number three for AIM 100 clients and number seven for AIM 100 clients’ market capitalisation, according to the Hemscott AIM Analysis in November 2007.

The Financial News Awards provide a forum at which the UK legal industry, from those working in private practice to those employed by banks, private equity firms and major corporations, will gather in the City of London to be honoured by Financial News and industry peers for excellence in their performance.

The awards ceremony is to be held on Thursday 25th November at Plaisterers’ Hall in the City of London.
