Taylor Wessing advises Vivacta on £6 million Series B fundraising
Taylor Wessing in London has acted for Vivacta Limited on a £6 million Series B fundraising round.
European Venture Capital firms HBM BioVentures and AGF Private Equity led the £6 million investment in Vivacta Limited. Vivacta's existing investors, Spark Ventures and Viking Technologies, also invested alongside HMB and AGF.
Vivacta Limited is a medical diagnostic company that is developing a patented ultra-sensitive Piezofilm-based technique for rapid point-of-care (PoC) testing. The company will use this fundraising to drive forward the commercialisation and launch of their unique piezofilm technology, and is already in discussion with a number of potential licensees that are interested in the opportunity to commercially exploit the technology.
The Taylor Wessing team advising Vivacta was led by corporate partner Simon Walker, working in conjunction with corporate associate Sian Skelton and IP associate Tim Worden.
HBM BioVentures and AGF Private Equity were advised by Travers Smith in Paris.
